Izzy T – Nuclear – Single Review

‘Nuclear’ is the new track by singer songwriter Izzy T, the London sensation is well on her way to national notoriety with a stunning sound and an enviable social following.

Izzy T is set to go stratospheric

London’s Izzy T is on the crest of a wave at the moment. With her rocky portrayal of Miley Cyrus’s ‘Midnight Sky’ garnering over 340k views and an Instagram following totalling over 11k she’s certainly got the platform to launch in 2021.

On her latest single ‘Nuclear we see more of those staggeringly atmospheric rock tones powering through to the fore. But she’s tempered that sound with a touch of rap, provided by Ben Hunter.

‘Nuclear’ blasts forward and demands your attention. Izzy’s fearsome vocal propels the whole thing forwards on a Pegasus of anthemic guitars and larger than life percussion.

There’s a true 80s power rock feel to what Izzy’s doing at the moment which is such a breathe of fresh air to the rest of the indie music scene.

Speaking about her latest single, the London artist said:

This song has really paved the way for my new sound as an artist. I love big crunchy guitars and stompy beats, and the freedom to go from low and creepy, to high as the clouds with my voice

Well this track certainly hits that brief. The grinding guitars start the track off and Izzy’s vocal matches them stride for stride, punctuated at every turn by thumping percussion.

We have to admit this is a seriously cool track. The vocal performance is sumptuous and delivered with all the swagger of a million-record selling artist.

But with support shows for the likes of Placebo and Sandi Thom under her belt, plus a growing interest in her work from the BBC, it’s no wonder she’s feeling on top of the world.

2021 is set to bring a new EP from Izzy T as well as a rescheduled UK tour, so make sure you catch her while you can. The stadiums await we’re sure.

Nuclear‘ is available everywhere now!
